The Role of Stakeholders in Improving the Quality of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sinjai

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe and analyze the role of the principal in improving the quality of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sinjai; (2) describe and analyze the role of supervisors in improving the quality and performance of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sinjai in Islamic Religious Education subjects at Madrasah Aliyah in Sigi Regency; (3) describe and analyze the role of the school committee in improving the quality of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sinjai; (4) describe and analyze the implementation of quality improvement at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sinjai.
This study employs qualitative research with a theological normative juridical formal managerial approach. The data sources include primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments consist of observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation references. Data processing and analysis techniques include deductive analysis, comparative analysis, and data verification, which involves drawing conclusions from the presented data. Data validity testing is conducted through persistent observation, triangulation, and cross-checking.
The results of the study show that: (1) The role of the principal in improving the quality of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Sinjai includes: (a) the role of the principal as an educator who guides and inspires teachers and students to create a positive learning environment; (b) the principal acts as a manager managing educational resources; (c) the principal as an administrator plans, organizes, and supervises various operational aspects of the school; (d) the principal as a supervisor guides and evaluates the performance of teachers and staff and encourages collaboration among educators; (e) the principal as a leader promotes the improvement of students' academic and social quality holistically; (f) the principal as an innovator creates creative and innovative learning utilizing modern technology; (g) the principal as a motivator inspires teachers and students to achieve their best potential. (2) The role of supervisors in improving the quality and performance of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Sinjai includes conducting individual supervision by providing appropriate guidance and constructive feedback to improve teacher performance, which ultimately contributes to the success of the madrasa's quality.
This research demonstrates that the active role of educational stakeholders, including the principal, supervisors, and the school committee, is crucial in improving the quality of madrasas. Effective collaboration among all parties can create a better learning environment, enhance teaching quality, and foster curriculum innovation aligned with students' needs.
