Building Community Leadership as a Strategy to Improve the Quality of Education (A Study in Ciporeat Village, Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency)

The objective of this community service activity was to motivate and provide insights—through outreach on improving educational quality—regarding the role of community leadership in education, while also encouraging active resident participation, identifying effective resource management strategies, and fostering collaboration among the community, the government, and educational institutions. Furthermore, the activity aimed to raise awareness about the importance of quality education and to formulate a concrete action plan for educational improvement in Ciporeat Village, Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency. This community service initiative was conducted over the course of a single day. Key issues identified during the activity included a lack of effective leadership, low resident participation, suboptimal resource management, limited educational infrastructure, and socio-economic challenges hindering the educational process. The results indicate that community leaders gained a better understanding of how to improve education and developed an awareness of the role education plays in driving positive change in their lives. Overall, the activity was met with a positive response and enthusiasm from the community leaders of Ciporeat Village, Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency.
