Analysis of Planning for Enhancing the Personality Competence of Educators

Abstract

This study aims to gain deeper insight into the principal's planning regarding the enhancement of teachers' personality competence. It is a descriptive study employing a qualitative approach and a field research strategy. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and document analysis. Qualitative data analysis techniques were used to examine and analyze the collected data, which consisted of documents (questionnaires and personal interview notes) and interview recordings. The findings indicate that the principal of SD Nisrina—acting as both leader and manager—has managed the teaching staff in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of National Education (Permendiknas) Number 16 of 2007, Article 1, concerning the fulfillment of academic qualification and teacher competence standards. To enhance teachers' personality competence, the principal of SD Nisrina, in collaboration with the school foundation, has implemented several programs, including weekly and monthly religious study sessions, a morning charity (infaq) initiative, monitoring of daily acts of worship, guidance on Tahsin (Quranic recitation) and Tahfidz (Quran memorization), and the cultivation of a school culture based on mutual counsel.
